Donutris

This may not seem like one of the most impressive models, but it has a pretty cool story behind it.

In 2022, Andrew Price, better known as Blender Guru, the biggest Blender tutorial channel on YouTube, created a collaborative campaign to raise money for the Blender Foundation, and as I really admire the free software initiative, and owe a lot of what I know today to Andrew, I decided to contribute.

The campaign asked each artist who wanted to take part to make a 3D doughnut, inspired by Andrew’s tutorials, which have become so popular that they are almost a trademark of those learning 3D modeling in Blender, to the point of being referenced in the wonderful film Everything Everywhere All at Once, winner of seven Oscars, including best picture.

Then he gathered the work of all 17,731 contributing artists into a single piece to be auctioned off, and selected the 30 best donuts to be auctioned off individually, and I was one of the chosen ones!
